Scholars of communication and language instruction use a case study approach to merge ideas from the two fields by examining diverse perspectives of teaching communication, language, and culture. Short introductory articles offer ideas for teaching, and case studies cover teaching, using technology, and learning language and culture. The topics include using mobile applications in public speaking instruction, the use and acceptance of technology by pre-service teachers of English as a foreign language, producing pathways to proficient pronunciation with learner-designed pronunciation stations, laying the ground for online English as a second or foreign language, composition courses and university internationalization, and integrating Chinese community into Canadian society.
