The relevance of the study comes from its investigation of how IT-enabled change affects organizational efficiency and how various change management factors influence successful implementation of change in the case of an IT company addressing the gap in the existing literature. The research objectives include to determine the extent of impact of implemented change on organizational efficiency by examining changes in indicators of organizational efficiency, explore how various change management factors affected the successful implementation of change in the case organization, provide insights and recommendations for the company on how to effectively manage change and enhance organizational efficiency, provide recommendations for addressing challenges that may arise during the change process, and create the Strategy Plan for the successful implementation of the change at the project-based, mid-sized companies.
The paper reviews relevant literature on change management, organizational effectiveness, and IT-enabled change, and tests the hypotheses that IT-enabled change can have a positive effect on a company’s overall performance and that effective change management can lead to improved firm performance. The methodology of the work consists of a mixed-methods approach, involving both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis such as interviews and surveys. The subject of the work is change management, while the object of the work is the case organization - “Crocos” LLP. The practical significance of the work is in providing insights and recommendations for the case company on how to effectively manage and anchor the change and creating a revised change management strategy plan for mid-sized, project-based companies based on the models discussed in the theoretical framework and the guidelines outlined in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards. The theoretical output of the study is the contribution to the existing literature on how change management affects the change process and the impact of a change on organizational efficiency. This book should attract the attention of the international research and academic communities as it focuses on gaps related to an under-researched region of Central Asia. Furthermore, it should be of interest to local and regional researchers focusing on Management and IT.
